Extended profile
Who am I?
I became an avid NASCAR viewer and lover of the sport when I got the chance to see the Legendary Dale Earnhardt, Sr. race. He is the reason why I began to learn that there was more to the sport than race cars going in circles around the track. (Smile) From there I just started learning about the evolution of the sport and the many talented legends who have helped to pave the way.
So you know...I just luv' Jr.! Go 88!

I’VE GOT RIBS ON MY MIND, GIVE ME SOME AND I’LL RACE – OR SO THEY THOUGHT? posted on 01/18/2009
Rendezvous definitely serves up the barbecue ribs that Dale Earnhardt Jr. loves along with quite a few people in Memphis, Tennessee. He has publicly praised their cooking abilities and he can definitely afford to have them shipped to his home in North Carolina. It is truly amazing how far some of the track promoters would go in order to sell tickets to fans.
It is one thing to have a viable, signed agreement with a driver about participating in a race than to falsely utilize his status to mislead racing fans. Dale Jr. can definitely draw a crowd of folks and if you tell people that he is going to be in the vicinity then they will move heaven as well as earth to be there just to catch a glimpse. Memphis Motorsports Park promoters have outdone themselves by trying to make people believe that this NASCAR phenomenon would come and participate in a race for a lifetime of ribs.

"Smoke" is in the 2009 Budweiser Shootout - Was It A Conspiracy? posted on 01/17/2009
Was this a conspiracy to make sure that one of the biggest idols and phenomenal drivers in NASCAR wasn’t kept off the Daytona track? Were the rules changed just to make sure that “Smoke” was happy? Were the rules changed to make sure the fans were kept happy? Were the rules changed for marketing and ticket sales purposes?
There may or may not be some truth to a few of these questions but I think many people forget that a number of teams have gone through mergers, acquisitions and partnerships; therefore, changes are inevitable to the rules and regulations. Change has been the norm these days for all of the things that have been occurring within this racing entity. Some people have been accepting the changes and some have been resisting but those are the reactions of change within any entity.
