NASCAR move over!? INDYCAR is a comin' !!! posted on 04/25/2008
...... and anyone PAYING ATTENTION will notice there's a storm brewing out there in the Racing World and it's name -once again- is INDYCAR.  Now that the twelve year divorce between the two American OPEN WHEEL factions -once known as CHAMPCAR and the IRL (Indy Racing League) have been cleaved back together (with no great "thanks" to INDYCAR CEO TONY GEORGE..., the guy who caused the split in the first place) will INDYCAR make the great comeback many insiders are predicting?  Apparently COCA-COLA and DIRECT-TV think so as they have recently become M-A-J-O-R sponsors of the newly revitalized INDYCAR Series.  And don't look now but there is a whole new generation of "Name" Open Wheel Racers ready to come to prominence in 2008.  These new drivers, all replete with HEAVY RIGHT FOOT and ICEWATER in their VEINS are Sons and Grand Sons of legendary Drivers with names like ANDRETTI, FOYT, RAHAL, UNSER, LUYENDYK and they are all FAST, ready to assault the established Open Wheel Ace Drivers..., like DANCING With the STARS 2 TIME INDY 500 WINNER HELIO CASTRONEVES, New Zealander SCOTT DIXON, accomplished tri-athlete and star of Team ANDRETTI-Green Racing TONY KANAAN and of course let's not forget THE MOST RECENT first time INDYCAR WINNER (Motegi, Japan) -- DANICA PATRICK.  Like it or not NASCAR FANS it looks like it's gonna' be a new AUTO RACING WORLD in 2008.  Get ready, AMERICA.  OPENWHEEL RACING is about to Re-ASSAULT your senses...  (to be continued).

NASCAR OVERLOAD !? posted on 04/25/2008
.....First, lets agree (or disagree) on one thing about the current state of SPRINT CUP Racing affairs.  Unbelievable as it is, the original redneck, moon-shine-running group that became known as NASCAR has become bigger -in the last ten years- than anyone could ever have imagined..., or feared.  Perhaps NASCAR is TOO BIG!!!  Names like the ever popular commercially sanitized DALE EARNHARDT JR., perennial winner JEFF GORDON, multi-champ JIMMY JOHNSON, the back-flipping CARL EDWARDS, ladies man KASEY KAHNE, flyin' RYAN NEWMAN, Pull-no-punches fan favorite TONY "Smoke" STEWART are just a peppering of Racers' names who have vaulted the sport into the big time, rivaling (and second only to) the NFL in the weekly Nielsen rating ''races''.  BILL FRANCE Jr., Son
